We can advise and draw up various Trust documents for you – either Lifetime Trusts or Will trusts, where appropriate.
These documents are post-death documents which can be made up to 2 years after a death and can vary the terms of a person’s Will. They are often used for tax planning purposes or to re-direct assets.
Very often it is advisable to change the way a property is owned, usually for inheritance and care fee planning and we can deal with the formalities of this for you with the Land Registry.
If someone loses mental capacity and does not have the required documentation in place (either an LPA or an EPA) – then application may need to be made to the Court of Protection for a family member or a professional to be appointed through the Courts to deal with that person’s finances and property matters.
We can deal with the legal side of buying and selling property for you. Our fees are fixed and competitive.
As a standard procedure we register the existence of all Wills with Certainty, the National Will Register. We will issue you with a certificate to confirm your Will has been registered. The contents of your Will are not disclosed, the National Will Register just enables you or your family to trace the whereabouts of your original Will. This is a free service to you.
Through an associate company we offer a safe, off-site storage facility for Wills and LPAs produced by us for our clients. We can also store your property deeds as well. There is an annual, low cost charge per person. For security purposes we recommend that you do not store original documents in your home.
